Did you know volunteering can make you a happier person? It’s also a great way to develop skills and make social connections, all while giving back to your community. The KNA has several volunteer opportunities that might be of interest to you:
- KNA Fill a Bus, Feed a Family Food Drive – The annual KNA Food Drive is happening on Saturday May 2 and needs lots of volunteers to make it run smoothly and successfully. You can help us before the food drive with tasks like prepping materials, delivering food collection bags, and hanging posters. On the day of the event, we need help to collect and sort the food. Visit our Food drive volunteer page to see a list of tasks and see what role you’d like to take on.
- KNA Compost Sale – This popular event takes place on Saturday, May 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Blessings Christian Church (corner of Stanley and Locke). We need volunteers that morning to help with bagging compost, loading vehicles, and selling compost.
- Social Media Coordinator– Use your savvy social media skills to keep Kirkendall residents up-to-date about KNA-led community events and activities.
- KNA Events Committee Member – Bring your organizational and leadership skills to help organize KNA events like our annual Food Drive, Community Yard Sale, Holiday Craft Party, and more!
