Before and after our Saturday May 2, 2026 food drive
- PREP EVENT ITEMS – Wednesday April 22nd, 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Prepare food collection bags for pick-up, sticker lawn signs, prepare door hangers and make apartment collection boxes at McMaster Innovation Park (MIP) @ 175 Longwood Dr.
We’re looking for 8 volunteers
- DELIVER FOOD COLLECTION BAGS AND LAWN SIGNS
Deliver Bags: Friday April 24th – Wednesday April 29th
Place Lawn Signs: Sunday April 26th to Tuesday April 28th
Deliver food collection bags to Kirkendall households and apartments/condos and place a few food drive lawn signs at addresses on your route
Bags are picked-up from McMaster Innovation Park@ 175 Longwood Dr, Friday April 24th 3:00pm – 6:00pm & Saturday April 25th 9:30am – noon
We need lots volunteers – we have many routes to cover
Come to the back of the building and enter through the dock door. Your bags and lawn ( if you have signed up for a lawn sign) will be there.

- POSTER HANGING: April 11th – April 19th
Hang posters around Kirkendall. Each volunteer is provided posters, a map of locations and a tape gun to hang posters. It’s a great role to do with someone else!
Looking for 12 volunteers
- POSTER TAKE DOWN: Sunday May 2th – Sunday May 10th
Take down posters that have been hung around Kirkendall. Each volunteer is provided with a map of locations to visit.
Looking for 8 volunteers
- ALLOW THE KNA TO PLACE A FOOD DRIVE SIGN ON YOUR LAWN: Sunday April 26th – Saturday May 2ND
Place a food drive sign on your lawn to promote the event
We have lots of signs looking for a place to call home!
Volunteer on Saturday, May 2nd at the Food Drive
- BUS VOLUNTEER
Register 9:30am. Bus leaves at 10am. Returns to McMaster Innovation Park between 12:30 and 1:00pm. Role wraps up between 1:00pm – 1:30pm
Be part of our collection team on our HSR bus. Collect food drive donation bags from porches south of Aberdeen.

Register 10:30am. Role wraps up between 12:30pm and 1:00pm
Help unload and organize food donations collected by our car teams
Looking for 10 volunteers
- SWEET RIDE VOLUNTEER:
Register 10:00am. Leave by 10:30am. Role wraps up between 11:30am and 12:30pm.
Volunteer to cover our car collection routes. Collect food donation bags north of Aberdeen in your car with a few family members/friends.
We have many car routes to cover!
Light refreshments will be available for volunteers on event day
Students! The Food Drive is a great way to earn your community hours.
