Ryan McHugh from the City of Hamilton recently spoke to the KNA about options for Chedoke Golf Course.
The current club house is quickly reaching the end of its life and the city would like to hear from residents about what should be done with the golf course land and club house.
Important information: The area is protected by the Niagara Escarpment Commission which means that it is a required green space (no development is allowed in area except updating the existing club house and making it a 25% larger footprint)
The city’s intent is to have a private company to redevelop the space. Golf will stay in some form but they are open to ideas. Focus is on the club house at the moment.
