Back on Track: Hamilton’s LRT Online Meeting with Metrolinx
We have had our ups, downs and ups again, but Hamilton’s LRT is back on track.
On April 7, 2022, at 7:00 PM, join Metrolinx staff and Councillor Wilson for the first Ward 1 online meeting to learn about the project’s status and next steps.
In May 2021, a joint funding announcement was made by the provincial and federal governments committing $3.4B to the project’s capital cost, making the Hamilton LRT one of the largest infrastructure investments in the City’s history.

Down the Drain: Stormwater Management in Hamilton | Tuesday, February 8 @ 6 PM
Storms are becoming more frequent and intense due to climate change and we are experiencing more pollution in our waterways and flooding in our communities. This is putting a ton of pressure on our stormwater management systems. But there’s a solution! If we work together to manage rain where it falls we can lessen the impact on our infrastructure and restore our natural waterways. Learn from the City of Hamilton, Hamilton Water group about where your stormwater goes, how to keep our infrastructure operational and why lot-level (e.g. from your yard!) intervention is important for pollution and flood control in our communities.

HAAA Renewal Public Information Centre 3 – Final Design
The City of Hamilton’s Landscape Architectural Services (LAS) section launched a park Renewal Plan for the HAAA Grounds in February 2021. To date, the project team, along with the Ward 1 office have hosted two virtual Public Information Centres (PIC) events where (2) two renewal plan concepts were presented to the community.
Since the PIC No. 2 event in June ’21, the project team has been reviewing community feedback and working to refine those two concepts into a single, final Renewal Plan that will be presented at the upcoming PIC No.3.
Please join us virtually as we present the final Renewal Plan, and we transition into the next phase of the design process.

On behalf of LEV Living, IBI Group will do a presentation about an infill development proposal to construct an 8-storey stepped apartment building adjacent to the Aberdeen Gardens retirement home located at 330 Dundurn Street South and provide an opportunity for feedback from the community.
The proposed 8-storey building would feature 109 one- and two-bedroom residential suites under condominium ownership, a centralized landscaped courtyard amenity space, ground floor lobby and amenity rooms, and a 5th level floor rooftop terrace close to Aberdeen Avenue. The proposed apartment building will be constructed on the existing surface parking area. Therefore the proposal provides for two levels of underground parking for 81 vehicles, which will be shared by both building residents, and staff/visitors to the retirement home. In addition, 16 surface parking spaces and fifty-five (55) indoor and outdoor bicycle parking spaces will be provided.
