FOOD DRIVE A GREAT SUCCESS

The 5^th annual food drive in support of Mission Services Food Bank on May 5^th was a great success collecting 13,509 pounds of food, about 2500 pounds over last year. ‘Fill a Bus, Feed a Family’ involved about 100 very enthusiastic volunteers who planned, collected donations, organized drivers for streets inaccessible by the bus, arranged printing, delivered flyers, posted notices, arranged lawn sign locations, collected boxes, did promotion and made donations for our administrative costs.

Our thanks go out to the volunteers, those who donated funds for administrative costs, businesses that held internal food drives, the City of Hamilton Public Works Dept and Hamilton Street Railway. All will be named and thanked in our upcoming newsletter.

We have always said that ‘Kirkendall Cares’ and this year, Kirkendall, you have outdone yourselves! Congratulations and many thanks.
