As most of you already now, Kirkendall’s annual food drive is only weeks away. A little effort in preparing can help make this year’s collection even more successful than before:
The food bank reports that the main things needed there are pasta sauce, pasta, canned meats and stews, peanut butter and canned fruit. Other things that people often don’t think about but are needed include toilet paper, formula, and diapers. Picking up a couple of extra items in your next grocery run to leave on your doorstep May 7th would be greatly appreciated.
The food drive also needs to have boxes ready to collect the donations. If you have some extra cardboard boxes, why not drop them off for us to use on the bus? All we need you to do is collapse the box first and bring it to the top of the driveway at 61 South St.
And finally, if you have a lawn sign for the food drive left over from last year, please let us know by email.
