as well as locavore pizzas and more made fresh for our event by Earth to Table Bread Bar and local wines available for purchase for only $15 per person.

Proceeds will support Hamilton Eat Local’s “Operation Smoothie” and the Locke Street Farmers Market.

Hamilton Police Service is hosting three community town halls (one in each Divsion) to hear your thoughts on the Hamilton Police Service Board’s 2011 budget request.  Kirkendall is located in Division One.

The Hamilton Police Service completed its 2011 Operating Budget process resulting in a 4.97% or $6.1 million increase over its 2010 budget.  The operating budget for the Hamilton Police Service is projected to be $130 million for 2011.

403 nightly closures starting Monday

Staff have advised that starting February 14 (weather permitting), Highway 403 will be closed at the Main Street Interchange from midnight to 5 a.m. in the either the eastbound or westbound direction (only one direction at a time) for bridge rehabilitation project. This will be the first of many closures (from midnight to 5 a.m.) over the next couple of months and is required for the safety of the workers on-site.
The detour will exit onto Main Street and return to the 403 via Dundurn Street South and King Street West
