Locke St. Festival : Saturday Sept 12th

This year’s Locke Street Festival promises to be the best ever, with fun for the whole family. We would like to remind everyone of two opportunities to help the community on that day:

First,  The Kirkendall Neighbourhood Association presents ‘Fill a Bus, Feed a Family’ in support of Mission Services This is a critical time for food banks so please remember to bring your nonperishable food donations to the H.S.R. bus located on Locke St. near Herkimer. Call 905-308-9678 for information.

Secondly, The Stanley Avenue Baptist Church and Royal Shredding are partnering together to raise funds for Ryerson Middle School and Camp Trillium, by offering a chance to safely dispose of the sensitive documents that pile up in records at home, to reduce your risk of identity theft.  Just bring your old documents to the truck on Locke at Stanley during the festival.
