The Executive of the Kirkendall Neighbourhood Association has voted to actively support the City of Hamilton’s initial plans in the rezoning of this area. We feel that the kind of development being proposed by Trinity Development Group is not in keeping with the ideas of an Innovation District as enacted by the City in By-Law 07-042, and is not at all in the best interests of the community.
A major property developer has appealed to the Ontario Municipal Board in an attempt to build a big box retail complex on lands adjacent to the Innovation Park, off Aberdeen, that are intended for research and development.
